Yushe Design unveils Duo Yun Xuan Art Center, a Bauhaus-inspired coworking space in Shanghai, offering an innovative architectonic experience.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yushe Design introduces the Duo Yun Xuan Art Center, a Bauhaus-inspired coworking space located at No 1188 Tianyaoqiao Load, Xuhui District, Shanghai. Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus, the center's design offers an architectonic experience that evokes both its ethos and its current deviations, using color and formation interventions along with geometric abstraction to activate the space.
The rehabilitation of the space faced challenges, guiding design and spatial planning decisions to optimize traffic flow, integrate artistical working concepts, and efficiently coordinate the relationship between working and artistic activity. The concept of "Duo Yun" (meaning a cloud in Chinese) is deconstructed into abstract curvilinear forms, inserted into different levels, and perceived as the functional division of each floor and installations for art activities.
The related commerce is centralized on the underground floor, featuring a large atrium and a red installation at the periphery of the escalator to activate the space. The design also transformed the public corridor into a multifunctional leisure space, offering a unique experience for work and leisure.
