Michael Lam's Surely is a breathtaking art space located in Hangzhou, China, designed to challenge traditional perceptions of interior design. The project, which commenced in March 2018 and was completed in 2019, has quickly become a hot topic and a popular art destination in the country. The 10763 sq.ft space is a harmonious blend of art, casual, and retail, offering visitors a unique and immersive experience.

The design concept revolves around the transformation of an old factory building, retaining its mottled texture to create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. By incorporating high-quality soft displays and art installations, Surely provides a relaxing and engaging environment for visitors, setting it apart from conventional retail spaces.

Utilizing special paint, terrazzo, original solid wood, and ultra-white glass, the design team skillfully created a space that interacts with natural light, weather, and time, forming rich shadows and lines to infuse the environment with dynamism and vitality.
