Design Project: Songya by Weina Shi

Weina Shi's Songya design is a modern oriental residential interior that captures the essence of tranquility and elegance, blending traditional Chinese ink elements with modern materials to create a harmonious and inclusive living space. The 355 square meter project, located in Guangzhou, China, is a testament to the designer's vision of creating a warm and comfortable abode as a sanctuary for the soul in the fast-paced rhythm of contemporary society.

The design employs a modern oriental approach, using natural wood texture, Microcement, Stone with panda patent, and Metal to realize the vision. It features curved contours that showcase the inclusive and harmonious nature of Chinese culture, narrating the poetic atmosphere of "embracing secluded mountains within the city."

With keywords like Oriental, Reserved, Gentle, Elegant, and Mellow, the design exudes a sense of tranquility and sophistication. It seamlessly integrates living, social, and entertainment spaces, reflecting the style of an international mansion while meeting the lifestyle needs of the urban intellectual class.

Despite the challenges of integrating users' lifestyle needs into the design, Weina Shi has successfully balanced visual aesthetics and practical functionality, providing a user-friendly living space that satisfies the owner's cultural enjoyment. The design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2024, acknowledging its outstanding and creatively ingenious approach.
