FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Introducing "Grid" - A Futuristic Compound Building

Architect Shigeru Tsuda's "Grid" is a five-story compound building located in Nishinomiya, Japan, inspired by the digital ads in Ridley Scott's Blade Runner. The structure seamlessly integrates digital ads within its concrete frame, creating a unique architectural and advertising blend. The building, strategically positioned in front of a station of Hankyu railway Kobe line, offers a striking visual from all angles, standing out during the day and blending into the night sky with the appearance of advertisements.

The building, with each floor area of 77.81㎡, features a concrete frame structure chosen to provide a strong, structural image and tolerate visibility from any angle. The design conceals ads within a grid frame, utilizing concrete rigid frame structure to create the necessary depth for picturizing ads. The architect's vision was to camouflage the building's height, making it appear taller than its actual height, while ensuring its presence in the station square. "Grid" is designed for lease, with different tenants occupying each floor from the 1st to the 5th.

Shigeru Tsuda, a former president of JIA Kinki chapter, is known for his interest in nature-oriented architecture, aiming for structures that blend seamlessly into the environment. His work has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2024, acknowledging "Grid" as a well-designed, practical, and innovative creation that meets professional and industrial requirements, integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics.
