Wel AI: Personal Email Assistant App

Ruoyong Hong introduces Wel AI, a groundbreaking personal email assistant app designed to seamlessly integrate AI into daily email processes, fostering a collaborative and respectful relationship between humans and AI. This innovative concept respects user personality, enhances communication efficiency, and nurtures a personal AI style, providing just the right level of assistance.

The app, designed for iOS and adaptable to other mobile platforms, utilizes GenAI for text tone and intent analysis, drawing insights from prompts in a writing and relationship library. It continuously optimizes performance to align closely with the user's personality, offering a conversational approach to email composition, guidance, and drafting.

Wel AI uses tags throughout the app to simplify text-heavy tasks, and its intuitive interaction flow and polished visual system are realized using Figma and Photoshop. The project, which commenced in May 2021 and concluded in September 2022 in Seattle, involved user interviews and diverse research methods to understand user needs and interactions with AI.

Wel AI has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in Mobile Technologies, Applications, and Software Design in 2024, showcasing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that contributes to quality of life improvements.
