FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
"Bubble Forest" is a public sculpture made of acid-resistant stainless steel, reflecting both natural and artificial light. The 450cm x 450cm x 570cm sculpture was inspired by the ability of plants to produce oxygen, resembling flora from terrestrial to aquatic environments. Illuminated with programmable RGB LED lamps, it stands as an orientation spot and a popular photography subject in Nice, France.
The project, led by Mirek Struzik, was realized using electropolished, acid-resistant stainless steel and RGB lights. The sculpture's unique design and location next to the seaside and CAP 3000, the largest shopping mall in France, posed creative and technical challenges, which were successfully overcome.
Mirek Struzik, a sculptor specializing in public space art, hails from Wroclaw, Poland. His works, including "Bubble Forest," have garnered international acclaim, earning him the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award in 2020 for Fine Arts and Art Installation Design.
