Yibai Restaurant Interior Design

Inspired by preserved flowers, the Yibai Restaurant design by Axin Chen captures their lasting beauty and symbolic meaning, conveying a commitment to serving pure and natural delicacies of timeless quality. The entire space is dominated by a soft white colorway, with golden accents throughout, creating an ambiance that is visually soothing, vibrant, and inclusive. The restaurant spans two floors, with the public area on the first and the kitchen, dining area, and lounge on the second. The traffic flow is designed as a square loop nested in another, ensuring a smooth dining experience. The small banquet room offers privacy and flexibility with its revolving door.

The design pays homage to time by retaining natural material textures, with waterproof coatings kept unpolished to showcase their inherent texture. Crafted from gypsum reinforced glassfiber, the diverse curved surfaces are sleek, sturdy, and durable. The semi-translucent walls built with crystal bricks evoke the image of a flower frozen at its most vibrant bloom. The chosen materials excel in antibacterial properties. The design covers an area of 2000 square meters and was completed by July, 2023.

Axin Chen's Yibai Restaurant design was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design Award in 2024, showcasing outstanding expertise and innovation. The design aims to offer a dining experience that not only delights the palate but also refreshes the body and mind, shifting away from formulaic design patterns and capturing cultural depth and uniqueness. The distinctiveness of this restaurant design lies in its theme of preserved fresh flowers and soft white color scheme, creating a soothing atmosphere that leaves a memorable and pleasant impression on customers, much like a preserved fresh flower.
