Yuanzheng Yang's Line Rings collection, inspired by labyrinthine and geometric architectures, offers a new dimension to jewelry interaction, recently awarded the Silver A' Design Award.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yuanzheng Yang's Line Rings collection draws inspiration from labyrinthine and geometric architectures, offering a unique and interactive experience for the wearer. The moveable sphere inside the ring provides feedback to the wearer through sounds, vibration, and rotation, creating a dynamic connection between the jewelry and its wearer. The collection, which won the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, showcases exceptional creativity and technical expertise.
Utilizing 3D CAD techniques, Yuanzheng Yang has meticulously crafted nine rings, each designed to highlight the interaction between the wearer and the jewelry. The moveable sphere inside the ring slides in various directions along the track, offering diverse multi-segment structures that bring greater possibilities to the trajectory of the ball. The precision and complexity of the line construction in these small-scale rings are a testament to the designer's skill and innovation.
Realized through 3D printing and lost wax casting, with brass and silver plating, the Line Rings collection showcases a fusion of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship. Each ring measures approximately 4*4*4 cm, offering a unique and personalized experience for the wearer.
Yuanzheng Yang, a jewelry designer and artist from Shanghai, China, completed the Line Rings project in March 2020, after starting the endeavor in September 2019 in Savannah, GA. Combining 3D printing technology with the concept of interaction between wearer and jewelry, Yuanzheng Yang's works have consistently pushed the boundaries of traditional jewelry design.
Yuanzheng Yang's Line Rings collection was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence. The collection's strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder, setting a new standard in the world of jewelry design.
