Designing a Resort-Style Pediatric Dental Clinic: Cozy Moment

PAO-CHIEH CHOU collaborates with a client to create a one-of-a-kind pediatric dental clinic, Cozy Moment, featuring soft arcs, raw elements, and a resort-like ambiance. The 161.9-square-meter space houses four clinics, a sterilization room, an X-ray room, a counter area, a waiting area, and a children's playroom. The design preserves the original structure, utilizing arcs and curved windows to naturally divide the space.

Utilizing building materials such as wood, rattan, and terrazzo, the clinic exudes a resort-style feel. The waiting area, accentuated by a circular staircase, offers a restful environment. The counter area, designed with ergonomics and visual appeal in mind, serves as a focal point, while the children's playroom provides a comfortable and spacious area for young patients.

The project, which started in July 2022 and concluded in October 2022, received the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authentically integrates experience and resourcefulness.
