Choulsoon Park's Packaging Design Showcases Daejeon's Landmarks, Boosting Local Tourism

Renowned graphic designer Choulsoon Park unveils the Daejeon Bruce Rice Cake Redesign, a packaging design project aimed at promoting local tourism in Daejeon. The project, completed in November 2020, features the application of Daejeon's nine major landmark graphics to the packaging of Sungsimdang, a leading confectionery company in the region.
Park's innovative approach integrates product packaging with local cultural promotion, allowing consumers to access information on Daejeon's tourism while purchasing products. The design is set to enhance the marketing potential of Sungsimdang's products, especially for future exports.
The project, which started in March 2020, was exhibited at the Hanbat National University Moglyeon Gallery, showcasing the fusion of design and local heritage. Park's meticulous research and creative prowess have earned the Daejeon Bruce Rice Cake Redesign the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding contribution to art, science, and technology.
