Magical Puzzle House: An Interactive Exhibition Guide and DIY Art Creation Kit

The "My Eye" exhibition at the West Bund Museum has launched an extended parent-child activity called "Art Fun!" for families with children aged 3 to 5. This innovative activity includes an interactive exhibition guide and an art creation DIY kit - the Magical Puzzle House. The guidebook contains 5 mini-games to help children understand the artistic ideas conveyed by the exhibition, while the DIY kit allows children and their parents to build their own Magical Puzzle House together.

With the opening of the exhibition "My Eye" at West Bund Museum, an extended parent-child activity "Art Fun!" was launched for children aged 3 to 5 and their families. “Art Fun!” included two parts, an interactive exhibition guide and an art creation DIY kit - Magical Puzzle House. Children will provide an interactive guidebook containing 5 interesting mini-games to help them deeply understand the artistic ideas conveyed by the exhibition. In the mini-workshop, children and their parents will build their "Magical Puzzle House" together.

The art creation DIY kit includes a maze chassis, dice, stickers, pattern boards, and wiggle eye stickers. Children can unleash their imagination and creativity by designing various pattern elves, enhancing their color matching ability, hands-on skills, and logical thinking. This project aims to help children understand the meaning of "perspective" in life and explore the infinite secrets behind the visible world.

The project, led by Hanyue Song, a Visual Communication Designer, started in September 2021 and was completed in October 2021 in Shanghai. Hanyue Song, based in San Jose, United States, is passionate about creating seamless experiences through innovative storytelling in children's education. The Magical Puzzle House has been honored with the Iron A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its practical and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements.
