Edoardo Petri Introduces Marilyn, a Circular Dining Table

Italian designer Edoardo Petri introduces "Marilyn," a circular dining table inspired by the iconic costume style of Marilyn Monroe. The table's base is hand-sewn with Italian top Tuscan cowhide, creating an elegant and attractive pleated skirt shape reminiscent of Monroe's classic look in "The Seven Years Itch." The leather skirt is removable, offering the flexibility to change the table's ambiance with 48 available leather colors. The table top, available in marble or ceramic, has a diameter of 160 cm and a height of 75 cm, resting on a metal plate with a diameter of 90 cm.

The Marilyn table stands out with its interchangeable base cover in 47 colors, allowing it to adapt to various environments and create harmonies or contrasts with the surrounding decor. This innovative feature provides versatility and customization, making it a unique addition to any space.

Conceived in Shanghai in March 2021 and realized in Italy, the Marilyn table was marketed in October 2021. Edoardo Petri overcame creative and technical challenges to bring this design to life, drawing inspiration from the fashion world and the art of Mariano Fortuny. The craftsmanship and leatherworking skills of Airnova were instrumental in bringing the Marilyn table to fruition.
