The Link: Symbolic Jewellery Collection

Jelena Dinic introduces "The Link," a symbolic jewellery collection inspired by the Moon, designed to connect people across the globe. The collection includes a fashion ring, earrings, and a pendant, all meticulously crafted with intricate details and symbolism.

The concept of "link" and the symbolism of the Moon are elegantly combined in the design, with the Moon representing the bond between individuals separated by distance. The open shank of the ring, adorned with differently sized and positioned Moon-shaped links, symbolizes the phases of the Moon and the connection it brings.

The pieces are meticulously hand-sketched and then modeled in Gemvision Matrix software, with the intention of being directly cast after 3D printing into 925 Sterling Silver or 14k white gold alloy, ensuring a high-quality finish.

The inner radius of the ring is 17.8 mm, the head width is 17.1 mm, and the shank varies from 2.9 mm to 8.3 mm. The estimated weight of the ring is 5.27 g (925 Sterling Silver). The earrings, comprised of two elements joined with a jump ring, are 25.3 mm long and 14.7 mm wide, with an estimated weight of 2.8 g per pair (925 Sterling Silver). The pendant, 28.9 mm long and 28.9 mm wide, is also comprised of two elements joined with a jump ring, with an estimated weight of 1.9 g.

The collection is designed to be practical for everyday wear, with the open shank of the ring allowing for size adjustments. The idea for this project arose in July 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the entire process taking place in Nis, Serbia. The design overcame challenges in implementing the Moon motif in a new and universal way, avoiding bias towards any cultural, racial, national, or religious group.

Jelena Dinic, an inventive soul with 22 years of experience in the jewellery industry, has poured her creativity and expertise into "The Link." Her dedication to creating meaningful and innovative designs has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023, acknowledging the collection's outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements.
