Gemdale Inner Peace, a modern Chinese marketing center designed by David Ma, was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2020 for its outstanding expertise and innovation in interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
David Ma, a young and competitive interior designer from Shenzhen, China, has created a modern Chinese marketing center, Gemdale Inner Peace, which has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2020. The design beautifully integrates modern functionality with traditional Chinese elements, offering a unique and culturally rich experience for visitors.
The marketing center, spanning 550 square meters, is a fully functional space that combines modern continuous curves and the color palette of tea and "water waves" to create a contemporary Chinese ambiance. The space is divided into three separate and continuous functional areas, with the entrance serving as the axis. The sand table area is adorned with grey mirrors, resembling a mirror lake, while drop-like chandeliers pour down from the ceiling, creating a captivating visual effect.
The meeting area features a tea room where the ceiling seamlessly merges into the wall, adorned with round holes reminiscent of salmon roe. The tea tables and sets are elegantly integrated into the modern curvilinear form, offering a serene and inviting atmosphere for guests.
The design's unique properties are further highlighted by the book bar, which stands in contrast to the tea room with its wave-shaped ceiling and wall, creating an open and charming space for visitors to explore. The white wavy louvers, transformed from the facade of the original neoclassical style, add visual appeal and purity to the space, resembling water waves.
David Ma's design not only showcases exceptional creativity but also addresses the challenge of integrating necessary functions seamlessly within a limited area. The application and production of curved elements posed technical challenges during construction, which the design team successfully overcame.
David Ma's Dmspacedesign company, founded in 2011, has been dedicated to creating high-quality and culturally rich interior designs. The company's focus on cultural connotations and regional context has led to the creation of unique and artistically tasteful works that resonate with contemporary residents.
