Wan Yu Lo's "Light Corridor in Grayness" redefines residential interior design with an innovative H-shaped layout, Feng Shui principles, and spatial depth modifications, completed in New Taipei City from June to October 2022.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wan Yu Lo's "Light Corridor in Grayness" challenges conventional residential interior design with its H-shaped layout, integrating Feng Shui principles to create a more spacious, versatile, and harmonious living space. By relocating the central corridor to the window side and setting back the bedroom, the design achieves a seamless connection between spaces while symbolizing territorial boundaries.
The innovative use of mirrors and glass extends sunlight, creating a luminous corridor that distinguishes between public and private areas, maintaining openness and security. The design also overcomes technical challenges by incorporating the site's sunlight patterns in the facade design, creating a vibrant kaleidoscope of light and shadow.
Recipient of the Bronze A' Design Award in 2024, "Light Corridor in Grayness" sets a new standard for residential interior design, prioritizing flexibility, versatility, and practicality while embracing the impacts of climate change on living conditions and urban environments.
