Discover the inspiration, unique features, and technology behind Keiji Ishikawa's Dialogical Relationship glass tableware.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Renowned designer Keiji Ishikawa introduces "Dialogical Relationship," a captivating glass tableware collection inspired by life's meaningful moments. The design features a pair of rabbits expressing various emotions, symbolizing the joy of realizing a unified self through dialogical relationships with others. Crafted using Japanese Kiriko cut glass technology, this collection aims to inspire creative thinking and reflection.
The double-layered glassware is meticulously ground and polished by hand, showcasing a repeated pattern of unified and stable expressions. The characters around the mouth of the glass unfold a comprehensive story, allowing users to reflect on past experiences and prospects. The design's unique properties and smooth, shock-resistant finish make it a standout addition to any table setting.
Starting in March 2023 in Tokushima, Japan, and completed in January 2024, this project represents a culmination of extensive research and creative exploration. The design, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in 2024, is currently in the process of applying for design registration and copyright in Japan.
