Discover the innovative art project, Forest Heart, by Mohamad ali Vadood, a groundbreaking exploration of wood art that harmonizes with nature.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mohamad ali Vadood presents Forest Heart, a remarkable wood art project that redefines traditional marquetry through the innovative Naqshbandi method. Inspired by the natural structure of wood, this project aims to create original art by controlling the patterns, lines, and colors of wood, without manual alterations.
Forest Heart stands out for its threefold purpose: reimagining wood, applying innovative techniques, and discovering new ways to capture desired images by tracing natural patterns in wood pieces.
Utilizing a unique production process, Forest Heart is crafted from carefully selected types of wood, including haloxylon, barberry, fig, and European ash, each contributing to the intricate details of the artwork.
Forest Heart measures 35 x 60 cm and consists of 47 4mm-thick wood pieces, meticulously chosen for their natural fortuities in color and texture. The project was completed in Tehran in 2010, after a six-month endeavor to find the perfect wood pieces.
Mohamad ali Vadood's groundbreaking approach to wood art has earned him the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2020, recognizing his exceptional creativity and technical prowess in the industry.
