Aselsan Cluster Interface: Dashboard Display

Aselsan unveils its latest innovation, the Aselsan Cluster Interface, a cutting-edge dashboard display designed to elevate the user experience for electric vehicle drivers. The 12.3-inch high-resolution screen boasts a 1920 x 720 px resolution, providing a wide range of colors and a clean, intuitive driving experience. The interface acts as a vital connection point between the driver and the vehicle, offering minimalistic 2D elements combined with shaded 3D graphics to enhance depth and layering.

The Aselsan Cluster Interface is designed to provide essential information such as speed, charging, and power usage states through half circular gauges, ensuring clear communication. Moreover, color-coded warning messages enable users to quickly discern the urgency of any required actions, contributing to a safer driving experience.

Designed and realized using Figma, the Aselsan Cluster Interface sets a new standard for user interaction in electric vehicles. The interface is operated through a button group, including gear selection buttons, a rotary knob for menu navigation, and additional buttons for home, back, and brightness control. Notably, the speedometer is set to 25 km/h to align with speed-limited areas where the cluster is utilized.

The project, which commenced in August 2021 and concluded in January 2024 in Ankara, involved extensive research and user testing to ensure that the interface meets the needs of professional commercial vehicle drivers. Aselsan's commitment to innovation and user-centric design has been recognized with the Silver A' Design Award in 2024, highlighting the interface's outstanding expertise and innovation in interface, interaction, and user experience design.
