Reflection Earrings by Mandy Morris

Renowned designer Mandy Morris unveils the extraordinary "Reflection" earrings, inspired by the image of a bird viewing its own reflection in the water. These one-of-a-kind earrings showcase an asymmetric design, with the right earring exuding flamboyance while the left remains subtle, reflecting the duality of human nature.

Crafted from repurposed 18ct white gold, these earrings feature a drop section that can be added to the left or right earring, or worn as a pendant. The meticulous handcrafting, laser welding, and precise setting of sapphires and diamonds add to the allure of these unique pieces.

Measuring at 60mm in height, 40mm in width, and 12mm in depth for the left earring, and 15mm in height, 11mm in width, and 7mm in depth for the right earring, these earrings also come with a detachable drop attachment measuring 35mm in height, 9mm in width, and 5mm in depth.

Designed to be versatile, the earrings can be easily worn with the left earring hooking around the ear and the right earring fitting as a stud. The drop section can be attached to either earring or worn as a necklace, providing a unique and customizable experience for the wearer.

The "Reflection" project commenced in October 2021 in York and concluded in February 2022, with an exhibition in London in March 2022. Mandy Morris dedicated extensive research to capture the essence of a bird's reflection, utilizing various techniques including hand rendering, CAD/CAM, and traditional craftsmanship.

Mandy Morris, a seasoned jewellery designer based in York, draws inspiration from nature and science fiction to create bespoke, award-winning jewellery. With 26 years of experience, Mandy and her husband, Thomas Johnson, continue to craft exceptional pieces at their boutique in York.
