Unique Obstacle Course and Fitness Games Highlight the Challenges of Corporate Life

Oval Design Limited, a creative agency based in Kowloon, organized the Central Rat Race, a charity event held in the heart of Hong Kong's Central Business District. The event aimed to raise funds to support mental health sufferers and promote the importance of work-life balance in a fast-paced city like Hong Kong. The unique obstacle course and fitness games were designed to symbolize the challenges faced in the corporate world and engage the public in a fun and meaningful way.

The Central Rat Race featured a mini-scene recreation of a corporate ladder, with a challenging obstacle course spanning 2.5 km through the CBD. The course included streets, footbridges, and walkways, symbolizing the trials and tribulations of the business world. The event also showcased two large-scale fitness games, a rat running wheel, and a rat trap, providing participants and onlookers with an immersive experience.

To ensure safety, most obstacles were constructed using giant inflatables, including a maze with 42 densely erected inflatable pillars. The race also incorporated high-tech elements such as virtual reality and augmented reality workshops to enhance the overall experience and boost enrollment. The event culminated in an exhilarating yet safe obstacle relay race, drawing a large crowd and raising significant funds for charity.
