Shelly Agronin Unveils "Long Time" - A Kirigami-Inspired Wall Clock

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Shelly Agronin's "Long Time" Wall Clock

Israeli designer Shelly Agronin introduces "Long Time," a wall clock inspired by the Japanese art of kirigami. The clock, made from a single narrow strip of metal, features three-dimensional Roman numerals that appear to leap out of the metal strip, creating a play of positive and negative areas. The clock, positioned 5 cm away from the wall, gives the illusion of floating. The sustainably designed clock is made from a high-quality, laser-cut strip of aluminum to minimize material waste.

Awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2024, "Long Time" is a practical and innovative creation that meets professional and industrial requirements. The clock measures 96.5X17X5 cm and arrives ready to use, hanging on the wall with two screws. The design process, which took place from March 2020 to July 2020 at Studio Wallaby in Yoqneam-Ilit, Israel, involved extensive research and creative problem-solving to balance the artistic aspect of kirigami with the functional requirements of a clock.

Shelly Agronin, the Israeli designer and owner of "Studio Wallaby," is known for her passion to create fascinating experiences that connect emotionally. With a career spanning a wide range of categories, from consumer electronics to jewelry, Shelly's creativity and ability to provide smart solutions shine through in "Long Time." The clock is a testament to her favorite technology, metal bending, and her dedication to transforming average objects through design.
