Xirui Liao introduces Fusion, a jewelry collection inspired by genetic fusion and convergent evolution, exploring the homology and convergence of biological evolution. The collection blends the movement of different species into organic forms, creating a fusion of the natural and the artificial. The pieces feature a delicate skeletal structure and lighting effects, providing users with a unique sensory experience.

The collection, realized using 3D modeling, 3D printing, lost wax casting, and silver, showcases biomorphic features from various viewing angles, creating a subtle sense of familiarity and unfamiliarity. The modular pieces allow users to wear them in multiple ways by combining different accessories, offering a unique and customizable experience.

Starting in September 2021 and finishing in February 2022 in London, Fusion is a thought-provoking exploration of the future of genetic science and human evolution. Xirui Liao's interdisciplinary approach to design challenges traditional aesthetic expression, integrating narrative and form to convey a complex idea, making the collection an inspiring narrative and reflection.
