Roland Stanczyk's Residential Design Project in Warsaw
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Roland Stanczyk, an experienced interior architect, has designed a luxurious apartment, City Rooftop, located in the heart of Warsaw. Inspired by Polish ornamentation from the interwar period, the apartment seamlessly combines modern elements with the typical architectural style of Warsaw from the 1930s and 40s. The project, awarded Bronze in A' Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design Award in 2024, is a testament to Stanczyk's expertise in blending historical and modern design.
The 120 sq. m. apartment was designed for an active married couple who desired a luxurious urban living experience while enjoying the cultural life of the capital. Stanczyk's meticulous attention to detail is evident in the bespoke furniture and doors made of real wood, some veneered and some lacquered, as well as the personalized furniture from Italy. The decor is complemented by works of Polish artists from the 20th century, creating a cohesive and elegant living space.
The design process presented unique challenges, particularly in blending modern and historical elements. Stanczyk's in-depth research and dedication to finding objects that harmonize with the building's historical context made the project both challenging and rewarding. The apartment's location, near the Vistula river and within a modern residential building combined with an old tenement house from the interwar period, further influenced the design, resulting in a space that is intentionally coherent with the building's architecture.
Stanczyk's expertise in supervising the realization of the project, from remodeling the space to selecting art and textiles, has resulted in a luxurious urban apartment that seamlessly blends modern comfort with the rich historical heritage of Warsaw.
