Nan Zheng Unveils Haisi Resort, a Southern Fujian Architectural Marvel
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nan Zheng, a prominent designer from Shanghai, has unveiled the remarkable Haisi Resort, a stunning architectural marvel inspired by the ancient heritage of Fujian. Located in the River Town in Fujian, China, the resort is a business card and landmark of cultural tourism in Fuzhou, highlighting the local culture and reproducing the style of a century-old water town. The project started in May 2021 and was completed in October 2021.
The Haisi Resort inherits the architectural characteristics of the southern Fujian house, combining high-rise roof ridges, carved beams and pillars, and wall brick reliefs to form a unique southern Fujian architectural courtyard. The project is formed by several courtyards, staggered to create an enclosed and private space, with each courtyard serving as an independent guest room area with an exclusive courtyard landscape.
The executive room adopts a three-entry space layout, with the first entry space serving as the drop-off area, the second entry as the bedroom area, and the third entry as courtyards, making the space full of greenery. The overall executive room adopts a soft and warm wooden tone, decorated with brilliant brown and gold, exuding a royal feeling and harmonious unity in the partition and ceiling.
The furniture in the project echoes the local big house in southern Fujian, with luxurious lacquer paintings and exquisite wood carvings highlighting the unique charm of southern Fujian furniture. The project adopts courtyard-style buildings and integrates southern Fujian culture, making it the highest standard administrative room in the entire water town, quite gorgeous and stunning.
The Haisi Resort was recently awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authenticates experience and resourcefulness, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology.
