Traditional Chinese Tea Sets with a Modern Twist

Wu Yan's Bao'an Tourism Gifts is a collection of Chinese tea sets inspired by the Bao'an District's Phoenix Tower. The design seamlessly blends traditional auspicious symbolism with contemporary aesthetic styles, catering to modern lifestyle needs while honoring cultural heritage.

The tea sets are crafted from Shengkou Kiln ceramics, boasting a history of at least 1,170 years, and are presented in environmentally friendly pulp packaging with modern-style envelope labels.

Measuring 50cm*16cm*12cm, the design aims to bring the concept of "Bao'an Youli" closer to the lives of modern young people, fulfilling various lifestyle needs while integrating traditional cultural elements with contemporary styles.

Wu Yan's project commenced in October 2022 and was prototyped and produced in June 2023. It was showcased at the Shenzhen Creative Gifts Exhibition, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in 2024.

Wu Yan, hailing from Hefei, China, has created a design that reflects the blending of traditional culture and modern aesthetics, integrating cultural inheritance and local culture into daily life.
