Wearing Chair: A Fusion of Fashion and Furniture

Renowned designer Yansheng Xia introduces Wearing Chair, a revolutionary furniture piece that blurs the lines between fashion and function. Inspired by the concept of dressing a chair, this changeable chair allows users to transform its style and temperament according to different moods and seasons, providing a unique and customizable seating experience.

The Wearing Chair collection features three distinct designs: "COLORFUL," "GENTLEMAN," and "FLUFFY," each drawing inspiration from clothing elements such as soft textures, leather, and down jackets. The innovative realization technology incorporates the use of organic textures, leather, and down cotton, resulting in a visually striking and comfortable seating solution.

Measuring at 814mm x 721mm x 664mm, the Wearing Chair is designed to offer a diverse range of styles, providing a comfortable and visually appealing experience. Users can interact with the chair by changing its "clothes" to meet their individual needs, making it a versatile and dynamic addition to any space.

Yansheng Xia, along with Jinxiang Li and Chenglong Pu, spearheaded the development of Wearing Chair in Zhengzhou, with the project completed in June 2021. The innovative design was recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2022, showcasing its exceptional creativity and resourcefulness.
