Frail World Table: A Unique Symbol of Fragility and Peace

Alexandr Strepetov presents the Frail World Table, a thought-provoking piece inspired by recent events in Ukraine and Gerald Holtom's peace symbol. The table's glass top, adorned with an inscription, symbolizes the fragility of peace. When viewed from above, the table-legs form the symbol "Pacific," representing the need to maintain peace for a stable and beautiful world.

The Frail World Table stands out with its unique design, incorporating an original table-leg layout that conveys a powerful message. The table's dualistic nature allows viewers to see the world's beauty and fragility from different perspectives, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace for global stability.

Constructed using a combination of painted wood and glass, the Frail World Table measures 174mm in height and 430mm in diameter. Its design process began in September 2016 in St. Petersburg and was completed in March 2022, resulting in a captivating piece that captures the essence of peace and fragility.
