FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
IANMU Architects proudly presents "Green Nest," a residential apartment design by Yu Lin Hsu, located in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The 85 sqm space is thoughtfully crafted to provide a comfortable and affordable living option for urban dwellers, challenging the need for urban sprawl. The design draws inspiration from the existing beams with varying heights, utilizing various ceiling designs to create lighting and shadow effects, alleviating the sense of oppression and adding focal points to the living space.
The apartment features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a working studio, and space for living, dining, and cooking. The design integrates terrazzo flooring to define and unify the different functional areas while incorporating reeded glass for transparency and privacy in the working space. The use of wood and mineral paint adds depth and character to the space, creating a harmonious and functional living environment.
Overcoming the challenge of existing girders and beams, the design team successfully created a warm and inviting indoor space, concealing ample storage space within the walls. The project's design period lasted 4 months, with construction taking an additional 6 months, resulting in a transformative living space that seamlessly blends aesthetics, practicality, and budget constraints.
