Buddy: A Playful 3D Printed Table Light

Mona Sharma's Buddy is a playful, Scandinavian influenced 3D printed task light for the dynamic worker. Its rounded, subtly tapered silhouette gives it a friendly stance and features a moving head with dimmable light to focus down on a specific task or to provide ambient light, making it a space-saving choice for an office, living room, or more.

Buddy is made by Gantri using FDM 3D printing technology and Gantri Plant Polymers, derived from sugar crops, and hand-finished with water-based marine paints in California. The pivoting head, a key detail from Mona Sharma, has resulted in a new stock part for future designers to use on the Gantri platform, expanding their offering.

The light measures 114mm in width, 203mm in depth, and 330mm in height, with an overall weight of 1.59kg. It uses an 8.5W E26 LED bulb, providing 850 lumens of soft white light, and features a dimmable switch on-cord with a 100-120V US 2-prong plug.
