Wei Gu and Di Wu have unveiled Zhiwen, a groundbreaking wearable thermometer designed to address the challenges faced by parents in measuring their kids' body temperature. The water-resistant and easy-to-clean patch can be effortlessly placed under a child's arm using soft adhesive, ensuring comfort and convenience. The device can be used with or without a smartphone, offering mobility and flexibility to users. Additionally, it features built-in humidity and air quality sensors to protect children from allergens and toxins.

Powered by advanced Bluetooth technology, Zhiwen boasts a back-lit LCD display and is constructed using high-quality materials such as ABS, medical-grade silicone, and sheet metal. The compact dimensions of the patch and its accompanying box make it a portable and practical health monitoring solution for parents on the go.

With a focus on user experience, Zhiwen is designed for intuitive operation. Wei Gu and Di Wu initiated the Zhiwen project in Qinghuangdao, China, in June 2018, and completed it in June 2019. The design process involved extensive research, including market analysis, user feedback, and testing of working prototypes. Overcoming challenges related to size, shape, and technical specifications, the design team successfully created a next-generation thermometer that meets the needs of modern parents and children.

The Zhiwen wearable thermometer has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Wearable Technologies category. This accolade acknowledges the design's innovative approach, technical excellence, and its contribution to enhancing the quality of life for families.
