Designing a Life: Pure White Elegance

Iuan Kai Fang's Pure White Elegance is a testament to the seamless integration of form, color, and material, creating a space that accentuates low-profile affluence and subdued luxury. The design, awarded Bronze in A' Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design Award in 2020, features modernity and a deliberate use of void, allowing for free imagination and application, giving the design a life of its own.

The 182 square meter residential interior design project is characterized by the deliberate use of diverse natural materials, such as hardwood and stone, in large quantities, creating an unadorned yet sleek feel. The design's unique properties lie in its ability to serve as a container for life, where dwellers can immerse themselves in a profuse life experience, much like ever-running water that bears witness to the florescence and radiance.

The large, long French windows and balcony allow for an intimate connection with the urban scene, bringing in natural light and seasonal changes, creating an environment that fosters a close connection to nature even within an urban setting.

One of the notable challenges overcome in the design was the clever construction of a small working section along a side table between the living room and dining room, highlighting visual vastness and shaping a new form of spatial communication. The master bedroom, with its wooden floor and upholstered walls, presents a delicate texture, while the girl’s and parents' rooms employ metal shelves for a sense of openwork transparency, creating a visual effect of vastness in a limited space.

Iuan Kai Fang, the director of K.E.A Design Consultants Inc. and Da Yue Construction Inc., brings over 20 years of experience in the art and design field, with a unique background in stage design, lighting design, and interior design. His extensive travels and exploration of the interaction between spaces, architecture, and people contribute to his innovative designs, making him a distinguished figure in the design industry.
