Canterbury: A Fusion of Luxury Elegance, Indian Antique, Japanese Zen, Classic American, and Modern Chic

Huang Henghsin's Canterbury is a 350-square-meter residential house, completed in Dec 2021 in Taiwan. The design is a thoughtful fusion of luxury elegance, Indian antique, Japanese Zen, classic American, and modern chic, catering to the diverse social circles of the clients' friends. Each space within the house is meticulously designed to reflect a specific style, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for social interactions.

The design incorporates fire-resistant decorative materials, moisture-resistant boards, solid wood screens, and imported hardware, among other materials, to bring the unique vision to life. The garage features a modern and sleek design with strong linear elements, enhancing visual appeal and creating a sense of streamlined movement.

One of the key challenges overcome in this project was the incorporation of five different design styles across various spaces. The result is a seamless blend of visual aesthetics and atmospheres, creating a fresh experience without any sense of discordance. The design also features unique furniture for each space, adding more character to the overall style of the interiors.

Huang Henghsin, a design professional from Zhubei City, Taiwan, firmly believes in possessing keen observation and logical reasoning abilities to analyze and synthesize information. The thoughtful and diverse design of Canterbury has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2024, honoring its well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements.
