Design Project: "Geometric Aesthetics"

In "Geometric Aesthetics," SHUN YUAN CHANG optimizes space to render both functional and spatial senses, extending the living room space with a large-scale TV wall and raising the ceiling for a heightened public space. The design integrates simple and neat iron pieces with geometric elements of square and circle, creating a unique aesthetic.

Utilizing a 21-ping interior space, the design maximizes utilization with features such as a retractable wall bed, raised wooden floors for increased storage, and a spring-loaded tableboard for flexible use. The space is designed to combine the reading area and sleeping area seamlessly.

Overcoming the challenge of a small space, the design incorporates an electrical cabinet with different orientations in the kitchen, reducing the space occupied by the door sheet when opened. Additionally, a connecting sliding glass door visually enlarges the dining area, creating an open design for public dialogue.

SHUN YUAN CHANG's "Geometric Aesthetics" is a winner of the prestigious A' Design Award, recognized for its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements. The design embodies the Zen philosophy, creating a calm and stable state of mind through the harmonious blend of stone and warm wood materials, along with a calming color scheme.
