Buky: Illustration Inspired by Glagolitic Script

Nikola Eftimov introduces "Buky," a fashion illustration project inspired by the second letter of the Glagolitic script. This artwork showcases a contemporary interpretation of ancient script in fashion design, aiming to capture the timeless elegance of Glagolitic letters.

The uniqueness of the illustration lies in its specific inspiration and technical approach, blending visual arts experience with new technologies. The main illustration features a transformed hoodie with the Buky letter print, elevated through accessories, clothing treatment, makeup, and ambiance.

The creation process involves digital sketches using Pixlr, image generation with AI technology, and refinement with Adobe Photoshop. The main illustration measures 3600 x 3600 pixels, 72 DPI (JPEG; RGB), with variable sizes for different media.

The Buky series is part of the larger "Glagolitic Stories" project, reflecting Eftimov's deep dive into the historical and visual research of the Glagolitic script. The project, initiated in January 2024 in Skopje, is ongoing and has already garnered attention through social media and Eftimov's personal website.

Eftimov's multi-decade experience in the fashion industry, design, and academia underscores the depth and expertise behind this innovative project. The "Buky" illustration has been recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in 2024, celebrating its practical, well-designed, and innovative approach.
