Timescape: Redefining Urban Retail Experience

Chen-Chi Hung's Timescape reimagines the retail experience, seamlessly blending street-facing exterior with the interior, creating a harmonious and fluid style inspired by Sparkling, Waves, and Rhythm. The renovation of Yuan Store aims to enhance the brand identity experience rather than relying on signage, fostering a vibrant urban and lifestyle contribution.

The facade and pedestrian arcade are connected with a continuous curve, establishing material continuity between the exterior and interior, fostering a flow from the urban into the pedestrian scale. The project envisions a nearly 1:1 ratio for multifunctional areas and commercial cabinet spaces, emphasizing the importance of cultivating a continuous ambiance to establish a distinctive sense of place.

Timescape, completed in Taichung in August 2023, has hosted several events, effortlessly transforming the shop into a spectacle, casino, or musical performance venue, providing a unique experience for the client and boosting performance by 60%.

Chen Chi Hung, a seasoned designer with nearly 30 years of experience, specializes in interior planning and design for offices, factories, retail spaces, and residential properties.
