Materia 174 Architecture Office introduces "The Fifth Element," a contemporary residence designed to provide maximum privacy for an adult married couple while maintaining a strong connection with nature. The project, located on the edge of an urban village in Ukraine, was completed in May 2020.
The house, featuring a spa with a 20m indoor pool, is designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding forest, offering a compact yet spacious living environment. The design incorporates five parallel volumes, each with unique features, including glass walls that open into the forest, filling the living spaces with air and light. The residence's innovative conservation technologies ensure maximum comfort and minimal resource usage, making it a sustainable and luxurious living space.
The project was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence in architecture and design.
