Sung-Po Lin's Slow Living project, completed in October 2017 in New Taipei City, Taiwan, redefines residential living with its innovative spatial layout and modern light classical styling.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Inspired by the need for a retreat from urban life, Slow Living offers a unique blend of functionality and aesthetics. The design seamlessly integrates open yet connected living spaces, providing a comfortable and all-age living environment. The use of demarcation tools such as arches and materials preserves the layering gradation of the interior, creating a visually stunning ambiance.
The interior area spans approximately 460 square meters, featuring three bedroom suites, a living room, dining room, open island-bench, inner kitchen, study, and rumpus room. The design team utilized structural elements to subtly demarcate spaces, allowing for maximum visual ceiling height and an open-plan layout that encourages interpersonal interaction.
With a focus on creating a comfortable and all-age living space, the design capitalizes on high-level vistas and natural lighting, providing a welcoming atmosphere for family gatherings. The project was completed in collaboration with team members Wen-Cheng Chen, Han-Tsung Hsueh, Yuan-Huang Liao, Yu-Ling Wu, and Yen-Ju Wang.
