GND Design Limited completes the landscape renovation project, connecting Hakka Ancestral Hall with the commercial district in Shenzhen, December 2019.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GND Design Limited has unveiled the Vanke Hakka Culture Exhibition Plaza, a landscape renovation project that seamlessly connects the Hakka Ancestral Hall with the commercial district in Shenzhen. The project draws inspiration from Lingnan culture and architecture, integrating rural settlements, pastoral farms, folk custom culture, and architectural symbols into the public areas outside the ancestral hall. This innovative design ingeniously blends historical elements with modern technology, creating a unique and captivating space.
The project, spanning 5900 sqm, showcases the unique ancestral hall culture of the Lingnan area, emphasizing the inheritance of cultural and historical features. Modern technologies have been applied to maximize the space experience, with gable element landscape walls fusing the charms of Lingnan architecture and modern techniques to create a captivating spatial vision. The landscape spatial layout cleverly incorporates Lingnan characteristic cultural elements, creating an exquisite and enriching experience for visitors.
Mr. Qiu Ge, the founder of GND Design Limited, led the project, resolving the conflict between tradition and modernity by integrating the Hakka Ancestral Hall and Commercial Plaza. The project serves as an outdoor promotion carrier for Hakka culture, enhancing the environment while providing a relaxing city square for citizens. The project was awarded Bronze in A' Cultural Heritage and Culture Industry Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authentically showcases experience and resourcefulness.
