Field Ode: A Fusion of Nature and Gastronomy

Dado Interior Design has unveiled the transformation of Lianren Shabu restaurant in Tainan City, Taiwan, into a harmonious culinary haven. Inspired by the client's vision of chefs valuing natural flavors and carefully selecting organic ingredients, the design captures the essence of life-giving elements like sunlight, air, and water. The multi-level commercial space reflects a fusion of sophistication and simplicity, creating a unique dining experience.

The initial design capitalizes on the elevated layout and incorporates abundant natural light through double-sided windows, creating an open and bright ambiance. The renovation involved reimagining the space to align with the brand's philosophy, showcasing the three elements of life and drawing inspiration from modern art gallery layouts.

The entire residence is designed with eco-friendly materials, creating a serene grayscale watercolor ambiance. The design combines three elements: Sunlight guides light into the rooms based on the layout, Air is represented by plant spheres symbolizing life, and Water reimagines floating ingredients in a hot pot. The property spans approximately 212 square meters and features a branching layout to create distinct functional areas, including a terraced visual wall and a Sky, Earth, and Wall exhibition on the second floor.

The project, completed in 2023, presents hidden surprises throughout, such as a signature photo wall, circular ripple patterns, and glass partition walls that bring a stream-like feel. Overcoming challenges related to building amenities, plumbing, and low ceilings, the design team successfully created a serene and inviting atmosphere, embodying the essence of the client's vision.

Dado Interior Design's innovative approach to the renovation of Lianren Shabu restaurant has earned the project the Bronze A' Design Award in 2024, recognizing its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authenticates experience and resourcefulness, contributing to quality of life improvements.
