Discover the fusion of contemporary colonial style with Blanc, a luxurious residential house designed by Vineeth k in Kasaragod, Kerala, India, from 2020 to 2022.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Blanc, a residential house designed by Vineeth k, seamlessly blends contemporary and colonial styles to create a luxurious and elegant living space. The classic colonial style, infused with a twist of minimal and contemporary elements, aims to bring about a sense of luxury and elegance while maintaining a minimalist approach. The primary focus of the design was to ensure that the spaces remained bright, achieved through the strategic use of neutral tones, creating a harmonious blend of styles.
Blanc represents a fusion of contemporary colonial style with an open and ethereal aesthetic. It is a pure work of art that seamlessly integrates with neutral tones to offer a tranquil and positive ambiance. The Blanc concept not only embodies the minimalism of the space but also encapsulates luxury and elegance in its style.
Every element in the Blanc home was custom-made, with meticulous attention given to even the slightest details. The client's desire was for a residence that stood apart from their neighbors. Highly skilled laborers were sourced from various locations to craft this exquisite masterpiece. The marble flooring, a limited edition Italian marble known as Statuario, served as the focal point of the Blanc. Each inch of the house received a PU paint finish. All the furniture was custom-designed and manufactured, sourced from different parts of the country.
Blanc boasts 5 bedrooms, a public living room, an open dining area, family living room, study area, open kitchen, family dining, laundry room, and an upper living area. PVD gold-coated legs and accessories bring out the rich and elegant touch in the space.
The interior of the house was adorned with classic contemporary furniture, works of art, and murals that seamlessly blend into the spaces. Partitions were strategically employed to address the client's privacy concerns, earning subsequent appreciation. What renders this house unique is the infusion of color tones into the spaces and the incorporation of art and décor elements that serve to contrast the entire area, providing a contemporary yet colonial ambiance.
During the design process, extensive research was conducted on incorporating details and style into spaces where climatic conditions posed a significant challenge. A thorough examination of various designs, scrutiny of material lists, and the selection of the most suitable materials for the prevailing climate constituted a crucial aspect of our research. Given that the concept revolved around a neutral theme, we aimed to minimize maintenance by opting for fabrics that are easily washable.
The client expressed significant dissatisfaction with the initial planning and structure when they approached us, indicating that it did not meet their standards. They had specific requirements, particularly regarding privacy within the open-plan layout. Despite the open design, the client desired a flow of space with enhanced privacy. A paramount consideration was to infuse a unique and different ambiance into the interiors while meeting their privacy needs. Of utmost importance was the client's desire for a positive and lively atmosphere within the residence, centered around a classic colonial theme to add a touch of luxury and elegance.
