Xianyang Gaoxin Cunzhi Kindergarten: A Modern Approach to Early Education

Zhenyu Ji's design for the Xianyang Gaoxin Cunzhi Kindergarten is inspired by the desire to create an engaging and stimulating environment for children. The use of bright colors and playful elements aims to encourage self-discovery, interaction, and personal development. The project covers a total of 8756 square meters, offering ample space for children to explore and learn.

The kindergarten's unique features include the use of love-symbolizing colors such as yellow, blue, and green, which are strategically incorporated into the standard activity rooms and bathroom areas on each floor. These vibrant color blocks serve as visual cues for children, aiding in spatial recognition and cognitive development.

The safety of the children is paramount in the design, with special attention given to the selection of materials that are non-toxic and the incorporation of rounded corners to prevent accidents. The interactive elements, such as colorful shadows and transparent floors, provide opportunities for children to engage in imaginative play and exploration.

The project, which commenced in July 2019 in Xianyang, reflects a thoughtful approach to early childhood education, emphasizing the importance of creating an environment that stimulates curiosity and creativity. The design team, including Zhenyu Ji, Jie Xu, Haixiang Zhang, Guoming Wu, Jianwen Jiang, Yi Liang, and Xiao Qian, collaborated to bring this vision to life.

Gold Mantis proudly presents the Xianyang Gaoxin Cunzhi Kindergarten as a recipient of the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its innovative and creative approach to interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
