Red Wave Unveiled at International Graphic Arts Show 2022

MURAYAMA INC. proudly unveils "Red Wave," an innovative entrance structure at the International Graphic Arts Show 2022. Combining striking aesthetics with practical functionality, this design represents the dynamic spirit of the printing and related industries.

Installed at Tokyo Big Sight for 5 days from November 24 to November 28, 2022, Red Wave captivated visitors with its energetic red color and fluid form, symbolizing an exhibition full of enthusiasm and active business negotiations despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.

The design team, led by Maiko Mochizuki and Rei Nishitani, utilized advanced printing technology to create a precise gradation of colors, resulting in the brightest red at the center of the passageway. The entrance gate served not only as a functional gateway but also as a visual representation of the show's vibrant atmosphere.

Red Wave's unique properties lie in its seamless integration of artistry and practicality. The design team utilized wrinkle-free fabric for striped molding, allowing the graphic design to show through on both sides. The use of leased system products for the foundation minimized the number of columns, combining beauty with reduced environmental impact.

With dimensions of 27700mm width, 8440mm depth, and 4000mm height, Red Wave made a bold statement as the focal point of the exhibition's entrance, captivating attendees with its captivating visual appeal and functional significance.

Recognized for its outstanding design, Red Wave was honored with the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2023, reflecting the exceptional creativity and impact of this remarkable creation. The design team's dedication to preserving the essence of the International Graphic Arts Show while infusing it with a fresh and innovative perspective has resulted in a truly remarkable entrance structure that resonated with visitors and industry professionals alike.
