Ying Photography Studio, designed by Zhaoying Wu, is a modern space that embodies the beauty of incompleteness, integrating natural elements with contemporary design.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ying Photography Studio, designed by Zhaoying Wu, is a testament to the beauty of incompleteness. The space, completed in March 2023 in Hangzhou, China, embraces thick and heavy materials, creating a serene ambiance that returns to the essence of space. With light and shadow intertwined, the studio features natural vibes as the basis for arranging the overall space elements. Geometric blocks and orderly lines match each other to outline the unpretentious beauty of space, where the pure and specific design methods interpret the aesthetic of the fusion of material and spatial ambiance.
Complicated decorations are intentionally avoided, allowing the space to exude a sense of calm and balance. The entrance, with a large curved facade, sets the tone for the studio, inviting visitors to explore the interior. The office space seamlessly blends art decorations with a contemporary artistic sense, creating a three-dimensional aesthetic with a modern touch. The integration of shooting and interactive functions provides visual and aesthetic elements, offering an immersive experience for visitors.
The design, awarded Bronze in A' Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design Award in 2024, reflects Zhaoying Wu's expertise in creating spaces that authentically blend natural elements with modern aesthetics. With an educational background in the School of Architecture - China Academy of Art, the Politecnico di Milano, and the Brera Academy in Italy, Zhaoying Wu's design practice spans over a decade, marked by accolades such as the "Excellent Teacher Award" and "Excellent Design Award" of the China Academy of Art, the second prize of China B&B Design, and the Andrew Martin International Design Award.
