Origami Letter by Aquaring Inc.

Aquaring Inc. introduces Origami Letter, a modern messaging tool inspired by the traditional Japanese craft of paper folding. Users can create digital or printable origami letters to convey heartfelt messages, offering a unique blend of tradition and technology. The project officially launched in July 2020 and gained global attention following its recent promotion coinciding with the Dubai Expo and International Letter Writing Week in October 2021.

Origami Letter provides users with a platform to fold digital letters or print and fold paper letters, offering two distinct ways to send messages. The project was awarded Gold at the iF Design Award in Germany, recognizing its innovative approach to modern communication.

The digital letter system seamlessly converts user input into WebGL textures without compromising appearance, maintaining a natural look and feel while enabling real-time interaction. Additionally, the tool's easy-to-use interface allows users to express their emotions through the art of origami, promoting cultural exchange and contributing to world peace through letter-writing.

With a focus on combining the geometric similarities between origami and Middle Eastern arabesque patterns, Origami Letter features detailed decorations and relaxing animations, creating a subtle and heartfelt communication experience. The project's team includes a diverse group of professionals, from producers and creative directors to origami artists and photographers, all contributing to the realization of this unique messaging tool.
