Residential Building Recreates the Sense of an Old Neighborhood

Located in a rezoning area from farmland and a military base, the Dua Tau Din Village project is set to recreate the sense of an old neighborhood. The 4700 sqm community consists of 61 four-story buildings with a U-shaped layout surrounding the inner building. Each building has its own courtyard and parking garage, with the courtyards connected by a 200-meter community pedestrian route. The project aims to bring a sense of community and nature into a high-density city, allowing the memories of the area to continue.

The building facade is made of handmade glaze red brick, creating a sense of touch and discoloration over time. The earthy colors match the nature of the community. The project utilizes different types of modules for concrete pouring, reducing the construction period, and 3D printing and physical construction layout to precisely control architectural diversification.

Instead of building one traditional residential tower, the project recreates the sense of an old neighborhood. The layout gives the neighborhood a pedestrian route that connects with every courtyard, and each house is connected with its own yard. The project provides freedom for each resident to form their own place into their own personality, creating a collage of stories within the village.
