Click: A Traceless Stapler Designed for Student Efficiency and Fun

Shaogeng Zeng, a graduate student in industrial design at Zhejiang University, has unveiled "Click," a traceless stapler specifically designed to meet the document organization needs of students. The innovative design, which won the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2023, is aimed at enhancing the fun of using stationery while improving users’ learning or office efficiency.

Click is a unique traceless stapler that stands out with its interesting cartoon animal shape, primarily targeting students. It features reusable clips that protect paper integrity and an innovative structure design that enables automatic and continuous clamping, enhancing work efficiency. The sustainable design incorporates minimalist materials and reusable features, making it an ideal choice for environmentally conscious users.

The project, which ran from March 2022 to February 2023 in Ningbo, China, involved extensive user research, including interviews and questionnaires on campus, to identify the main design elements. The product's ergonomic design posed a significant challenge, requiring careful consideration of size and shape curves to optimize the user experience.

Shaogeng Zeng, known for his work in product design, service design, and AI-assisted design, has previously led the design of several projects that have gone into production. Click is a testament to his commitment to creating practical and innovative designs that meet professional and industrial requirements.
