Unique Store Fixtures Transforms Eataly Toronto with Timeless Italian Design

Unique Store Fixtures has unveiled the stunning Eataly Toronto, a project that brings the traditional Italian passeggiata to the heart of downtown. Inspired by the Italian tradition of socializing in the main streets and piazzas, Eataly Toronto aims to enhance social exchanges through remarkable Italian cuisine.

Eataly Toronto is tailored to the nuances of the growing city, designed to augment social connection via the universal catalyst of great Italian food. The design draws inspiration from the enduring passeggiata, where Italians take to the main street and piazza each evening to stroll, socialize, and occasionally stop at bars and shops along the way.

The project, which began in December 2018 and was completed in November 2019, is a testament to Unique Store Fixtures' commitment to bringing the essence of Italian culture to Toronto. The design features two main piazzas, each offering a unique experience for visitors. The monumental bar and traditional piazza, along with the urban setting by the wood-burning ovens, create an immersive environment that captures the spirit of Italy.

Using a combination of fabric, antique mirrors, glass, metal, bronze, leather, wood, and stone, Unique Store Fixtures has realized the vision of Eataly Toronto. The project has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2020, showcasing outstanding expertise and innovation in interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
