Zarysy Jan Sekuła's Innovative Approach to Log House Renovation

Zarysy Jan Sekuła, a prominent figure in interior design, has unveiled "The Cabin Symphonic," a breathtaking renovation project located in Maniow Maly near Wroclaw, Poland. The project, which commenced in November 2020 and concluded in March 2021, redefines the traditional highlander architecture of Poland, infusing it with a modern and adventurous twist. The 214-square-meter space has undergone a major transformation, blending contemporary design elements with the rustic charm of a wood log shack.

Sekuła's innovative approach to the renovation involved carefully redesigning the interior layout to create a more spacious and inviting environment, essential for accommodating multiple families during summer vacations. The project required significant construction alterations, including the replacement of a substantial portion of the living room's external wall with a sliding window, seamlessly integrating new elements with the original crooked log walls inside and outside the house. Custom steel frames were strategically employed to provide solid support while retaining the house's aesthetic appeal.

The majority of the furniture in "The Cabin Symphonic" has been uniquely crafted to fit the space, with built-in pieces and standalone objects such as tables, coffee tables, and beds. Additionally, the interior doors feature rounded corners and stripe details, creating a beautiful contrast against the log cabin interior. Steel elements have been strategically incorporated to blend the original log house character with a modern approach, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind experience.

What sets this project apart is Sekuła's ability to seamlessly blend tradition with modernity, infusing his own stylistic character into the interior while preserving the original authenticity of the space. The redesign involved significant changes to both the structure and construction, resulting in more interior openings, larger glazed areas, and an overall optimization for multi-family use. "The Cabin Symphonic" is a testament to Sekuła's commitment to bringing a fresh, cozy, and personalized approach to modern design, earning him the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2023 for his outstanding expertise and innovation.
