UND Design Studio introduces a groundbreaking tea shop design located in Shenzhen, China, aiming to revolutionize the concept of tea drinking through spatial experience.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
UND Design Studio presents a pioneering tea shop design in Shenzhen, China, which redefines the traditional concept of tea drinking through innovative spatial experiences. The project, located on the 2nd Floor of Fangda City Mall, Beihuan Boulevard, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, China, was initiated in January 2019 and completed in April 2019.
The design capital of Shenzhen provided the perfect backdrop for this unique project, which aimed to create a cooler and different brand concept for tea drinking. The project's location in Shenzhen, known for its cultural and innovative environment, served as an inspiration for the design team to craft a space that offers a multi-dimensional sensory experience.
The design team, consisting of Encome, Matthew, Benson, Monte, Ray, and led by UND Design Studio, faced the challenge of meeting reproducible standardization while incorporating the "cool" and "funny" style requirements of the project. The team's solution was to start from the most basic form and use a pure white block to create a unique suspended tea space, offering a brand new conceptual attempt to create more communication possibilities through rich spatial experiences.
The project's unique properties lie in its location within Shenzhen, a city known for its cultural and innovative atmosphere. The owner's advocacy for artistic creation to redefine the brand concept of tea drinking added to the project's advantage. The design team's use of a pure white block to create a suspended tea space reflects their commitment to offering a cooler and different brand concept for tea drinking.
The realization of the design involved the meticulous selection of materials and technologies to bring the vision to life. From the use of chairs, tables, and lighting combined modulus to the choice of white furniture paint, artificial stone, and environmental-friendly art paint, every detail was carefully considered to create a three-dimensional, cleaner, and cooler space. The use of gray terrazzo as the base of the space for the floor and wall set off the white shape, allowing the white blocks and instantly changing lights to pierce the boundaries of space.
The project's technical specifications are a testament to its innovative approach, with the design formed from unit body modulus, closely related to industrial production technologies such as human engineering, space behavior, and materials science.
UND Design Studio's groundbreaking tea shop design in Shenzhen was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence in interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
