Introducing "The Things," a set of polygonal stainless steel bowls designed by Oi Lin Irene Yeung, drawing inspiration from the philosophy of The Equality of Things by Zhuangzi.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Designer Oi Lin Irene Yeung's "The Things" is a set of 5 polygonal stainless steel bowls, each representing the philosophy of equality and respect in one world. The unconventional shapes and mirror-polished finish make these bowls both functional tableware and exquisite art sculptures.
The creativity behind the polygonal design required special metalworking techniques, resulting in a high level of craftsmanship and uniqueness. Made of stainless steel grade SUS316, each bowl's dimensions are L141xW105xH116mm with a 1.0mm wall thickness.
These bowls are not just for dining; they can also serve as home decor and modern blocks for meditation, showcasing the versatility of this exceptional design. The project began in April 2020 in Hong Kong and was completed in September 2020 in China, after overcoming various technical and production challenges.
